Meet Liz Lamoreux

Liz Lamoreux

Liz Lamoreux believes that spending time in the intersection of creativity + mindfulness will help us get to know ourselves better so we can show up as who we want to be in the world. Through her online courses and her shop and studio, Three Bird Layne in Culver, Indiana, she fosters connection and community as she invites people to be in The And Space – a place where we hold joy, grief, and everything in between.

What is a Courage Champion in my world?

I believe that when we get to know ourselves from a place of compassion and curiosity, we can move through the world in an open-hearted, empathetic way. Getting to know ourselves takes practice, it takes courage, it takes time. Creating spaces where people can do this through being creative, through slowing down and being present, through community is what Courage Keeping looks like in my corner of the world.

Why it matters:

This matters because we’re living in a time where we simply cannot avoid this truth: Being human is hard. So much information comes our way each day via news, social media, and the many ways others can communicate with us to get our attention. It takes practice to shut down all of that for even a short time and listen not only to the wisdom within us but to the birds singing right outside our window. This work matters because each person deserves a safe place they can go within themselves and within their community where they can fully show up. It takes courage to realize we have to stretch ourselves to connect with others to create the world we want to live in. It is a gift to be side by side with others as they practice this, as we practice together.
